BC RCMP investigating after unknown man allegedly breaks into apartment, sexually assaults woman

BC RCMP is investigating after an unknown man allegedly broke into a woman's apartment and sexually assaulted her.

According to police, the incident occurred in the 12900 block of 101A Avenue in Surrey around 6:40 am on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers located a woman who reported that she had been sexually assaulted by the suspect.

Emergency services transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned man in his 30s who stands at 5'6." At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with dashcam footage of the area is urged to contact police at 1-604-599-0502.
