One of two men arrested and charged following a shooting in Fort Nelson last week has been identified as notorious BC gangster Jarrod Bacon.
Jarrod Bacon has been charged with aggravated assault, while John Chasse faces an assault charge in connection to a shooting that hospitalized a man on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Both men are 41 years old.
According to police, one of the men was arrested Friday during a traffic stop, while the other was brought into custody when a search warrant was executed at a Fort Nelson home later that night.
Both are scheduled to appear in Williams Lake provincial court today.
Records also show that Chasse is due in Richmond provincial court later this month for alleged probation violations, and will face drug trafficking charges in Abbotsford in March.
Bacon is the middle of three infamous brothers from Abbotsford with significant ties to the gang world in BC.
The eldest, Jonathan, was murdered in Kelowna in 2011, while the youngest, Jamie, was sentenced to 18 years in prison in 2020 for his role in the so-called Surrey Six slayings.
Jarrod, who has ties to the Red Scorpions gang, has been in and out of prison several times since being arrested for drug trafficking in 2009.
