BC man solves puzzle to find $100K in real life treasure

On June 1, the hunt began for treasure chests holding $100K of real gold and silver buried in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.

Despite some disbelief, the chests were quickly tracked down in Calgary and Edmonton where hunters proved the treasure was in fact real.

However, solving the puzzle to Vancouver’s hidden treasure chest proved a bit more difficult, taking hunters an extra week to track down.

That was until Saturday, June 8, when Burnaby resident Marko Cerda solved the puzzle and found Vancouver’s treasure.

With the treasure hunt now complete in the three cities Gold Hunt, the company behind the event, has released all of the hunt's maps, clues, and keys to the public.

Gold Hunt has also hinted that more pirate inspired fun could be around the corner this summer!
