While it’s been a mild winter so far, camping is still likely the furthest thing on many people’s minds during the dark, dreary days of January.
However, you’ll have to start thinking about your potential camping plans soon if you want to book a site for your spring or summer trip into the wilderness.
Those wanting to camp at a provincial park in BC in 2025 are able to book a site up to four months ahead of their desired arrival date.
That means there’s still a little time to wait if you want to book your spot for the summer, but camping availability for one key long weekend will open up soon.
The May long weekend, or Victoria Day long weekend, is from Friday, May 16, through Monday, May 19, this year.
Anyone wanting to book a camping reservation for those dates would be able to do so starting on the morning of Thursday, Jan. 16.
If you want an extended weekend reservation starting on Thursday, May 15, you can book that on Wednesday, Jan. 15, and so on.
