Drive BC is reporting that Highway 1 east of Savona is closed in both directions due to a due to a serious motor vehicle incident.

Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels says in a news release the closure is about one kilometre east of Savona and it will be closed until further notice.
Michels says there's a detour through the Village of Savona but motorists should expect delays.
Drivers are advised to use an alternate route around the area if possible.
