Police rescue woman trapped in bathroom 2 times in 4 days in southern BC

Police in Trail were called upon multiple times to rescue an elderly woman stuck in a bathroom two times in the span of four days recently.

According to RCMP, on Nov. 26 at 10:32 am, officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Daniel Street after a resident heard someone screaming for help inside their home.

Upon arrival, police located an 89-year-old woman who was trapped in her bathroom when the door handle fell off. The woman was in good spirits and rescued without incident.

Just four days later at 10:44 am, officers received another call at the same residence. This time, the woman triggered her medical alarm when she got stuck again due to the faulty lock.

The woman was in good spirits and was happy to be assisted by the "handsome" RCMP officer.

Police are now helping the woman fix her lock.
