Search for missing BC man continues as family's concern grows

Mounties continue to search for a missing Quesnel man.

Andrew Charles Ward, 61, was last seen in the Quesnel area on Saturday, May 9.

His family are “very concerned” for his safety because his disappearance is out of character.

He is described as 5 ft 8 in tall with a skinny build and short grey hair.

Both of his arms are covered in tattoos, police added, and he usually wears glasses.

He was last seen at about 7:20 pm at the 4 Mile Store & Coffee Shop on Barkerville Highway outside Quesnel.

Ward was with another person (whom he knew).

“[He] departed the store in his grey Jeep YJ and was last believed to be headed towards the Pinnacles Forest Service Road area,” police explained.

Officers are now asking anyone who saw Ward, his grey Jeep and/or a dark pickup in the area to call the Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211.

To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
