Someone who bought a lottery ticket in British Columbia this week is about to be a millionaire.
A ticket purchased in North Vancouver for Wednesday night’s Lotto 6/49 draw has won the $5-million Classic Jackpot.
It was the only ticket in Canada to match all six winning numbers of 9, 10, 12, 17, 30 and 45.
According to the BCLC, the odds of getting all six numbers and winning the $5-million Classic Jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816.
“All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize,” the BCLC says.
“The specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winners’ name(s) will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim their prize.”
While the Classic Jackpot was won on Wednesday, there was no winner of the Gold Ball Jackpot and the pot is at $56 million for Saturday’s draw.
“The Gold Ball Draw is a guaranteed prize draw where players will win either the Guaranteed Prize of $1 million, or the growing Gold Ball Jackpot that starts at $10 million,” explains the BCLC. “The Classic Jackpot offers a prize that is always $5 million.”
You can secure your tickets for Saturday’s draw at any lottery retailer in BC or online through PlayNow.com.
