UPDATE: Woman reported missing after travelling to Alberta found safe and sound

(Update: Sept. 21, 2023): The Campbell River RCMP has confirmed that a missing 25-year-old woman has been located and is reportedly safe and sound.

(Original story: Sept. 18, 2023):

A woman from Campbell River has been reported missing after not being seen or heard from since Sept. 15, 2023.

Cassidy Hinsberger was last heard from on Friday at 3 am, right before departing for Calgary, AB.

According to family, she was to catch the 5:40 am ferry in Nanaimo.

The Campbell River RCMP confirmed that Hinsberger was reported missing on Saturday at around 11 pm.

Police said it is believed that she may have stopped in a camping area en-route to the location and is associated to a 2002 Black Mazda BCLP LJ319K

Hinsberger is described as 5’7’’, 130lbs, long hair brunette with red copper highlights. She is 25-years-old and is “physically fit and adventurous,” according to her family.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cassidy Hinsberger is urged to contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
