Woman who allegedly spit on liquor store employee in Penticton identified

The Penticton RCMP have confirmed that the woman from a shocking video shared on social media this week has been identified.

RCMP Spokesperson Sgt. Jason Bayda confirmed the update this morning.

He added that an investigator is following up with the woman. Police have not released her name.

The Skaha Lake Liquor Store shared footage of the incident from Nov. 21 at 1:48 pm on their Facebook page asking people to help identify the woman.
In the post, the store said that the woman threatened to sue him for refusing service when she was asked to wear a mask.

Then, after the employee puts the woman on the phone with the store owner, she is seen purposefully dropping the phone on the floor.

The store also said that the woman spit on the employee several times and made a racial comment.
