Kelowna no longer home to the Okanagan's most expensive property

While the vast majority of the region's expensive real estate remains in Kelowna, the biggest price tag is located slightly north.

According to the latest data released by BC Assessment, a 13,000 square foot home in Lake Country is now the most expensive home in the region.

Located at 12990 Pixton Rd., the five-bed, nine-bath house is valued at $10,741,000 despite selling for $12 million in August 2019.

In 2020, the home was estimated to be second most expensive in the region, but went up in value by several hundred thousand dollars.

There are now three homes valued at over $10-million in the region, up from just two in 2020.

The second most expensive property in the region is a lakeside single-family home at 4358 Hobson Rd. in Kelowna's Lower Mission neighbourhood.

The home is valued at $10,600,000, which is an increase of $237,000.

All sorts of different types of homes and property locations are represented in the rest of the top 10, but the common theme is being on the lake or having a great lake view.

Here’s the entire top 10:
