Yesterday, the highway was closed between the junction with Highway 5 and Abbey Road due to a vehicle incident.
A detour was set up for the time being.
According to DriveBC, the highway is now fully open and operational.
(Update - 8:00 p.m.): Highway 1 is still closed between the junction with Highway 5 and Abbey Road due to a vehicle incident earlier in the night.
A detour has been set up via Highway 5 to Highway 97.
The estimated time of reopening is 12:30 a.m.
(Update - 7:00 p.m.): A vehicle incident has Highway 1 closed in both directions between the junction with Highway 5 and Abbey Road near Kamloops.
Crews are on scene and an assessment is currently in progress. No detour is available at this time.

The next update is scheduled to come at 7:30 p.m.
(Original - 6:45 p.m.): Residents looking to drive past Cherry Creek may have to make alternate plans as the westbound lane of Highway 1 is currently closed.
According to Drive BC, the road was closed just west of the Highway 5 junction due to a vehicle incident.
Crews are now en route, but there is no timetable for when the westbound lane will reopen.
