Why do you use Instagram?

I use Instagram as a tool to promote the work I’ve done and to stay connected with other artists. It’s the easiest platform for me to see what other people are creating. I’m always looking for new people to collaborate with and be inspired by, so having the ability to reach out and interact with someone online is a great way to meet someone you may not have met otherwise.

What will people see on your feed?

Lots of photos of Kelowna and my friends. Sometimes some photos of myself working on set or a “behind the scenes” look into the projects I’m working on and the gear we use.

Does your page have a specific style?

I don’t think so! I try not to be influenced by any preconceived ideas I have about how an image should look. Usually the photos I take are pretty spontaneous.

Why do you follow KelownaNow?

I follow KelownaNow because it’s current, and I like seeing the reposted photos people are taking of the area.

How do you decide on your location for shoots?

It depends a lot on the needs of the project. Luckily the is Okanagan is filled with beautiful locations so it’s not hard to get out and start shooting. If I need to have more control over the light then I’ll shoot in The Film Factory’s studio. The 3-wall infinity white screen is pre-lit by overhead KinoFlo’s which you can individually control, plus the space is big enough to get really creative with certain setups.

Biggest Instagram moment?

Probably some of the behind scenes photos Bridgegate Studios posted of the cast and crew working on “The Recall VR Movie: Abduction.” I worked on that movie as a 2nd Assistant Cameraman but was lucky enough to be asked to operate the Virtual Reality camera rig for the short VR movie based off the script. Working that closely with someone like Wesley Snipes in an area I grew up in was an amazing experience.
