KelownaNow is excited to feature some of our favorite Instagram profiles from the area!
I am born and raised in Kelowna. I was a Wildland Firefighter for 15 years, where I developed my passion for photography; I fought the Okanagan Park Fire of 2003, and had several photos that I took on the fireline featured in different magazines and newspapers around the world. In pursuit of my passion, I recently attended and graduated from the Photography Program at the Centre for Arts and Technology. I am now working full time as a Photographer. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, exploring and playing baseball, volleyball, golf and snowboarding in the winters.
Why do you use Instagram?
I am very outdoorsy and adventurous, and I take my camera bag everywhere with me. Most of my photographs are unplanned, and a reflection of the scenes I come across that I feel people would like to see. That being said, there are definitely occasions where I have planned camping or road trips around epic locations I've seen previously on Instagram.
What will people see on your feed?
As you will see in my feed I have a mix of stuff in there. I've been told it's good to stick to a theme or style on your Instagram but I truly enjoy all genres of Photography so why not share it all?. If I had to pick a favorite it would definitely be Adventure and Landscape photography.
Does your page have a specific style?
Guess I answered that it the last one lol...
