Now You KNow! - About the 2016 Gratitude Games

Around 200 people participated in the 2016 Gratitude Games at Global Fitness in Kelowna on Wednesday afternoon to help raise funds in support of the Honour House.

This event is unique in the sense that not only was it was developed specifically for Gratitude Month, but to show appreciation for the wonderful men and women that keep Kelowna a safe place to live.

Individuals and teams got together and hyped each other up before they attempted a fitness challenge based on the physical exam RCMP officers must pass in order to join the force. Burpees, medicine ball tosses and a 300-meter row all in an average of under 3 minutes, needless to say, it didn't look easy.

You'd think having to go through a challenge like this would be enough to deter you the first time, but not our Kelowna cops. The local RCMP had enough participants to fill two teams.

It's hard to be sure what was louder, the pump up jams, or the cheers of encouragement coming from those in attendance.

So far Gratitude Month has been amazing, and this event only added to it.
