Despite starting off strong and winning the first quarter 16-13, the Pronghorns pulled the game back and outscored the visitors in each of the final three-quarters.

The game marked another impressive win for the Pronghorns who boast a four-game win streak and another loss for the Heat who have failed to produce a win in their last four games.

The UBC Okanagan Heat (2-14) will be trying to reverse their bad luck when they play away from home next weekend against the MacEwan Griffins in Edmonton on February 3rd and 4th.

The Women’s Heat team also suffered a tough loss to Lethbridge on Saturday losing 81-44 to the Pronghorns in the 1st Choice Savings Centre.

After earning a hard-fought victory against the Pronghorns the night before, the women’s Heat team were hoping to score a second win and secure a playoff position.

However, the Pronghorns dominant victory put the Heat's’ playoff dreams into doubt.

Lethbridge went up 25-16 in the first quarter and continued to put on the pressure winning each of the final three-quarters.

The loss puts the Heat in 15th place in the Canada West standings, three spots shy of the final playoff spot.

The UBC Okanagan women’s Heat (3-13) will try to keep their playoff hopes alive when they travel to Edmonton on February 3rd and 4th to play the MacEwan Griffins (4-12).
