Victoria Police find the bodies of two children in double homicide

Victoria Police have found the bodies of two small children at an Oak Bay residence. The bodies were aged to be four and six.

The double homicide occurred on Beach Drive in Oak bay on Christmas Day.

During the investigation, the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit was called to assist the Oak Bay Police Department.

RCMP and accompanying investigators are expected to be on scene for the rest of the week.

In an issued report, police state that a male has been transported to the hospital and is being treated for his injuries. Police are not seeking any further suspects at this time.

“This is a devastating incident and we cannot begin to express our sympathy to all those touched by this tragedy," states Cpl. Shane Rappel of the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit.

At this time, no further information has been released by investigators.
