VIDEO: Charity creates event where people can rappel down Landmark 6

Coming to Kelowna for the first time this year, the Easter Seals created a fundraising event involving an 18-storey skyscraper and 60 rappellers where registered people can safely walk down.

The Easter Seals Camp Winfield is located in Lake Country and has been around for 50 years. Their goal is to raise sufficient funds for Canadians of all ages who are suffering from disabilities.

“We look like we’re on track for about $200,000 across our four locations this year,” says Michelle Webber, Easter Seals community engagement organizer.

Webber participated in the event and was dressed as Spider-Girl.

“You don’t climb down the side of a building every day so why wouldn’t you dress up like Spider-Girl,” Webber noted.
