A weekend of outdoor community fun is on the roster for Rutland as the 60th annual May Days celebrations return.
Kick things off at the midway this Friday night in Roxby Square. Hop from ride to ride all evening long, enjoy delicious carnival snacks and test your luck at the various games.
Bright and early on Saturday morning you can take in the annual parade with the family as it treks down Rutland Road at 11 a.m. sharp.
In addition to the fun mentioned above, the event will also boast an artisan market inside Rutland Centennial Hall and live entertainment from Okanagan talent.

The event is back and ready to burn some rubber in honour of its 62nd year. Starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, car lovers can spectate high-intensity races, browse stunning rides and socialize with other enthusiasts.
Welcoming racers from across Canada, the United States and even as far as Australia, the Hillclimb also earn the competitors points for B.C. Time Attack which are put towards the Confederation of Autosport Car Clubs (CACC) point system.

If you’re in the mood to get inked, head to Five Fathoms at the crack of dawn this Sunday.
The Vernon tattoo studio is hosting their fourth bi-annual fundraiser for the B.C. Children’s Hospital. 25 Artists will create their own custom flash sheets for attendees to choose a design from, each design will be worth a different donation price ranging from $50 to $300.
Although the event is not set to begin until 8:30 a.m., organizer Mitch Matovich urges people to come early as the line up outside the shop begins as early as 4 a.m.!
Car lovers, you’re lucking out this weekend with not only one, but two vehicle forward events conquering the valley.
Once you’ve checked out the Hillclimb on Sunday, burn down to Peachland to soak in the beautiful rides of all makes and models at the annual World of Wheels Car Show.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. you can wander along Beach Avenue looking at over 550 new and vintage cars, trucks, boats and bikes all the while soaking up some beautiful Okanagan Views.
Stretch it out and cool things off with a new and exciting event at Truck 59 Ciderhouse in West Kelowna.
Wind down at 4 p.m. this Sunday with an inclusive yoga class suitable for all levels and equipped with stunning views of the Okanagan Valley.
Afterward, enjoy a refreshing cider tasting and a chance to socialize with other attendees!
