Trooper set to make triumphant Okanagan return for a worthy cause

One of Canada’s highest ranking classic rock bands will be making a return to the Okanagan for a show that will be filled with first times.

Trooper will be returning to our area this spring to "Raise a Little Hell" and a little money for a deserving cause. Set to take over Royal Lepage Place, Trooper will be playing a show on June 2nd, 2017 with a portion of ticket sales going towards West Kelowna Minor Hockey.

“I do know that in Canada, hockey is a very expensive sport and I know that there are kids playing in West Kelowna that can’t afford the cost,” said Mike Schell, the concert’s promoter and also a West Kelowna Minor Hockey coach of seven years.

“If the show sells out, we will be able to pay for 10 West Kelowna youth to play hockey next year,” said Schell. Tickets went on sale this morning and already close to 400 have been sold according to Schell.

Not only is it wonderful to have one Canada’s most supreme bands of the rock and roll era back in the Okanagan supporting a great cause, but this will be the first concert held at Royal Lepage place in over five years.

“I have to be honest, I’ve been doing the promoter job full-time for five years and my goal has been to be the first promoter to bring a show to West Kelowna. I’m from West Kelowna, I have raised my family here and my kids go to high school here, it’s just something I wanted to see come to fruition.” Schell continued.

For those of you who missed out on seeing Trooper when they played at Rock the Lake this past summer, now is your chance. With floor tickets only for $60 and grandstand tickets for $50 available on etixnow.com, this will be an amazing show for an even more incredible cause.

“I know with Trooper they’re the iconic party band of Canada so, it’s going to be a great fit and we are going to raise some great money for West Kelowna Minor Hockey by giving one hell of a show that West Kelowna has never seen before.”
