West Kelowna Mounties are searching for answers after five watercraft were stolen from the same spot in a 10-day span.
According to police, three boats and two Sea-Doos were stolen from Lake Okanagan Resort between July 17-26.
No information was shared about who the boats belong to or why they were being stored at the resort that has been closed for nearly a year since burning down in last summer’s wildfire.
Police did say, however, that all three boats were on individual trailers and the two Sea-Doos were together on a 2012 Triton boat trailer.
“The total value of the watercraft stolen is over $260,000,” an RCMP release explained. “It is believed they were all stolen by the same individual or group of individuals.”
The RCMP provided the following descriptions of the stolen watercraft:
- 2014 Stingray, 212SC, primarily a red hull with white interior and sitting on a 2014 EZ Loader black boat trailer.
- 2011 black and white Campion Svfara SV3, on a 2007 black ShoreLand’r boat trailer.
- 2014 Sanger Indmar 60, green and black on a 2014 VM Pro black trailer.
- 2014 Supercharged Rotax Wakepro 215(4) Sea-Doo, black and white in colour.
- 2014 GT 1130 Sea-Doo black and white in colour.
