It’ll be a festive evening in West Kelowna on Friday.
The city’s downtown core is decked out with decorations and lights on they’ll be revealed in the annual light up on Friday night.
On Brown Road, from Main Street to Gossett Road, there will be festivities for people of all ages between 5 pm and 8 pm.
That includes multiple choirs, dancers, kids’ crafts, letters to Santa and, of course, free hot chocolate.
At 6 pm, Santa will help Mayor Gord Milsom switch on the holiday lights, turning the stretch of downtown into a beautiful holiday showcase.
That stretch of Brown Road will close at 3 pm to accommodate set up and it’ll be blocked off to traffic until 9 pm as crews clean up after the festivities.
