School District 23 has issued a release regarding multiple cases of COVID-19 at Constable Neil Bruce Middle School in West Kelowna.
“Interior Health confirmed members of the CNB Middle School community tested positive for COVID-19,” said the release.
Anyone who has tested positive is now self-isolating at home and IH will be contact tracing and following up with anyone potentially exposed to these cases.
According to the IH website's school exposure page, the exposure dates for CNB Middle School are Nov. 18-20.
“The safety and well-being of students, families, and staff remains our highest priority,” said SD23.
“Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible.”
Both SD23 and IH will continue to work closely together to determine if additional actions are required, as well as to support ongoing communication with the CNB Middle School community.
As always, students and faculty members should stay home from school if they’re showing symptoms of COVID-19.
