Part of Glen Canyon Regional Park closed due to filming

Hollywood has hit West Kelowna and it’s resulted in the closure of a section of Glen Canyon Regional Park.

The southern portion of the park will be closed on Sunday for the filming of the movie ‘Daughter of the Wolf.’

The parking area off Gellatly Road and the lower trail to the first set of stairs will be closed between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

There won’t be any public access via the trail leading to the filming area and production security staff will be in place to stop park users from entering the area.

A trained wolf with multiple handlers will be interacting with actors during the shoot, so the production team is asking anyone with a pet in the park to keep them on leash at all times.

The Regional District and the film production team thanks residents and park users in advance for their understanding and cooperation on Sunday.
