the RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after responding to a medical emergency that led to a man's sudden death this morning in West Kelowna.
Shortly after 8 a.m., RCMP were called to assist the West Kelowna Fire Department and BC Emergency Health Services, who responded to a motorhome parked in the 2100-block of Louie Drive, near Walmart, for a report of a medical emergency.
Emergency crews were led by a civilian to an unresponsive and unconscious male who sadly could not be resuscitated and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased has since been identified by police as a West Kelowna man in his 50s, and efforts remain underway to properly notify his next of kin.
“At this time, criminality is not suspected in the man's death and the BC Coroners Service is also investigating,” states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, Media Relations Officer for the Kelowna Regional Detachment.
Due to the privacy of the deceased, his name will not be released, said police.
