The Kelowna RCMP have announced charges in a 2022 crash that happened in West Kelowna.
On Sept. 15, a warrant was issued for second degree murder, criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing death.
Later that day, members of the West Kelowna RCMP arrested 27-year-old Ka-Mikosit Favelle for second degree murder.
The charges stem from a fatal pedestrian and motor vehicle collision that took place on Horizon Drive on Aug. 19, 2022.
Adam Briand-Lawrence was killed in the incident.
At the time, officers believed it was a single-vehicle crash, however, further details have not been released at this time.
Favelle remains in custody as is scheduled for a court appearance on Sept. 19 in Kelowna.
