The defending-champion Kelowna Rockets will have more players attending NHL training camps than any other Western Hockey League team.
Twelve players from the team that reached the 2015 Memorial Cup final have been invited to camps.
Attendees will be Tyson Baillie (Calgary Flames), Madison Bowey (Washington Capitals), Rourke Chartier (San Jose Sharks), Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton Oilers), Tyrell Goulbourne (Philadelphia Flyers), Justin Kirkland (Nashville Predators), Cole Linaker (Edmonton Oilers), Nick Merkley (Arizona Coyotes), Josh Morrissey (Winnipeg Jets), Tomas Sousatal (Calgary Flames), Devante Stephens (Buffalo Sabres) and Jackson Whistle (Vancouver Canucks).
Several of the dozen most won’t be returned to the Rockets, including Draisaitl, Bowey, Morrissey, Goulbourne (over-age).
In all, 126 WHL players are set to attend NHL camps, 81 of which were selected in the NHL Draft, while 46 are free agent invitees or are eligible for the 2016 draft.
