Jays Come Up Short in Game One

The Blue Jays fell short in the highly anticipated first World Series baseball game Thursday afternoon, and ace pitcher David Price is being charged with the loss.

It’s been 22 years since the Jays made it to the World Series, and Thursday’s game was certainly disappointing for fans in Toronto and across Canada, as the men in blue took a 5-3 loss against the Texas Rangers.

Best players Josh Donaldson and Jose Bautista had to leave the game early due to injuries, and pitcher Price was charged with five earned runs on five hits in the loss.

Seeing as it’s been decades since the Jays last played in the World Series, fans had high hopes for Thursday’s game.

The Jays will continue their best of five series on Friday at 12:30 p.m. local time in Toronto, with pitcher Marcus Storman on the mound.
