A group of Toronto Blue Jays fans have started a petition to have the RCMP investigate Major League Baseball.

The petition seeks to have police investigate the league for fixing matches following Toronto’s two straight losses at home to the Texas Rangers in the ALDS.

The petition claims the league does not want Toronto to advance in the playoffs as the only Canadian will not be as profitable as having American teams playing.

The petition sites the early game times, broadcasters criticizing Toronto’s crowd, the league refusing to open the roof of the Rogers Centre, and controversial calls that did not favour the Blue Jays as evidence for the investigation.

The petition has already received over 10,000 signatures and is looking to gain 15,000 supporters.

The Blue Jays trail the Rangers 2-1 in the best-of-five series, and will once again face elimination Monday afternoon.
