Beselt took sixth place overall on the uneven bars.

A sixth-place finish on the vault and an eighth place on the uneven bars on the first day of competition earned Jakab a 10th place all-around in the four events.

Beselt, although limited in her training during the past few months due to injury, finished 24th overall on opening day. The 12-year-old was planning to compete only on the uneven bars, but once she arrived, decided to compete in all four events over the two days.

Following Day 1 of the competition, the top 36 athletes advanced to the finals on the second day. Jakab, 12, finished third overall for a two-day ranking of fifth all-around and finished as the top athlete from B.C.
