The Kamloops Blazers were in action last weekend, this time with two games against their BC Division rivals.
Kamloops came out firing and outscored the Vancouver Giants and Kelowna Rockets 8-1 in two days.
In game one, Logan Stankoven, Zane Franklin, and Quinn Schmiemann all scored in the first period. Franklin would add two more to stall any comeback the Giants think they had. Kamloops took the game by a 6-0 final.
So, we beat Kelowna again.

Dylan Garand made 23 saves on 23 shots for the shutout. Garand's clean sheet extended the Blazers' shutout streak to two games after a 4-0 win against Swift Current on Tuesday.
Game two was much closer with Kelowna in town. Franklin continued his hot ways, scoring his seventh of the season in the first period. Max Martin added one in the third which turned out to be the game-winner. Kyle Topping ended Garand's shutout streak at approximately 117 minutes, but he still ended up with 25 saves on 26 shots.
With the two wins, the Blazers move to 8-4 on the season, putting them atop the BC Division.
Up next the Blazers travel to Victoria on Friday to take on the Royals. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm.
