The Prince George Cougars returned home Wednesday and earned a dramatic 4-3 come from behind overtime win over the Kelowna Rockets. Josh Maser scored the game-winner with just six seconds left in the extra frame. Vladislav Mikhalchuk forced OT after tying the game with just 16 seconds left in regulation.

COMEBACK KIDS: The Cougars picked up their first win this season when trailing after the first period, as they’re now 1-3-0-0; it was the Rockets first loss when leading after the opening 20-minutes (5-0-1-0). Josh Maser’s OT goal was his second OT-winner and fourth game-winning goal of his career.
STREAKS: Josh Maser now has 11-points (5-6-11) in his last 10-games; he has points in eight of his last 10. Vladislav Mikhalchuk now has nine points (3-6-9) in his last seven games. The Cougars are now 3-1-1-0 in five-game against the Rockets this season. Their win Wednesday moved them into second place in the B.C. Division, a point ahead of the Victoria Royals.
UP NEXT: The Cougars (9-8-1-2) continue their home stand on the weekend when they tangle with the Kamloops Blazers (6-9-1-1) in a doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday.
