The Prince George Spruce Kings are happy to announce that defensemen Layton Ahac (01 – North Vancouver, BC) and Dylan Anhorn (99 – Calgary, AB) have been selected to attend the World Junior A Challenge Camp for Team Canada West Dec. 3 to 5 in Calgary.
Both players are in their second season with the Spruce Kings, as Ahac has put up 16 assists in 28 games so far this season, after compiling six goals and 23 assists in his rookie season. He added one goal and four assists in the postseason. Ahac is currently rated as a B prospect for the upcoming NHL Draft.
Anhorn has four goals and 11 assists in 29 games this season. A year ago, he had five goals and 20 assists in a full 58-game season. He added one goal and 10 assists in the postseason.
“We are proud of both Layton Ahac and Dylan Anhorn for earning the opportunity to attend Canada West World Junior A Camp. They both are huge contributors to our team and I know both will be excited for the camp and tryout process," said Head Coach Adam Maglio.
The Canada West Camp Roster features a total of 19 BCHL players.
