The TRU WolfPack men's volleyball team was in action on Thursday, this time for exhibition play against Mount Royal University.
Playing at the Saville Community Centre, the Pack fell to the Cougars by a score of 3-1. The scores were 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, and 25-21.
"Overall good match for the first time out,” said Hennelly. “ Ryan Hampe and Sam Elgert stood out. It was great to see some second-year guys on the floor.”
Rookie Nimo Benne led the way for the Pack with 10 kills on the night. Sam Taylor Parks wasn't far behind as he put up nine kills and two blocks. In addition to those, Charlie Bringloe contributed with six service aces.
The Pack continue their exhibition tournament this afternoon with matches against the NAIT Ooks and the University of Alberta Golden Bears. This will be the first time the Pack have played the Bears since they upset them in the Canada West Playoffs last year.
