TRU men's soccer announced the signing of a new recruit today, this time at goalkeeper.
The WolfPack have secured the service of Lancashire, England born Oliver Jumeau for the 2019-2020 season. Though he grew up in England, Jumeau holds a Canadian passport and will have no trouble joining the team.
“I first heard about TRU when doing research about university soccer in Canada,” said Jumeau. “ As soon as I saw the facilities, campus and location I immediately highlighted it as a school that I would love to go to. Fortunately, I was able to arrange a video call with Coach Antulov a few weeks later and as soon as he told me more about the school and the program, I knew I wanted to be a part of TRU.”
Jumeau is a graduate of Carnforth High School. The 6’0” keeper, like all students in England, graduated high school in grade 11.
“I have spent quite a bit of time watching footage of TRU and other U SPORTS teams and the standard looks really good. I’ve been lucky to train with the first team at Morecambe quite frequently over the past two seasons and I recently made my debut with the U23’s so I am really looking forward to the step up to men’s soccer.”
