The Penticton Vees have announced that forward Andre Ghantous, 20, has committed to the Northern Michigan Wildcats for the 2019-20 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) season.
Ghantous, from Glendale, California, joined the Vees September 25 after his rights were acquired in a trade from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
In 14 games with the Vees, Ghantous has scored four goals and added eight assists.
Prior to joining the Vees, Ghantous played two seasons with the Trail Smoke Eaters
In 2016-17, he scored nine goals and added 35 assists. The following year he scored 19 goals with 25 assists.
In last season’s playoffs, the five-foot-nine, 170-pound forward scored five goals and nine assists in 15 games.
Ghantous’ commitment makes him the 16th NCAA Division 1 committed player on the the current Vees’ roster.
