Warmer than normal temperatures are predicted for most of B.C. and it’s also supposed to be a dry summer as well.

Outside of the southeast corner of the province, precipitation numbers should be around the normal amount for the summer months.

The predictions are in relation to the region’s typical averages, which for Kelowna is a daily mean of 16.6°C and a highs of 24.2°C for June.

July and August get even warmer and have similar averages, with daily means of around 19°C and highs of 28°C.

That means the Okanagan could see good stretches of temperatures over 30°C is the summer hits full swing in July and August.

Precipitation wise, rain levels should be right around the region’s typical average of 46 millimetres of June, 37 millimetres for July and 32 millimetres for August.
