There is once again a bit of wind in the forecast, but the overall conditions today should help the firefighting efforts west of Peachland.
Environment Canada (EC) calls for a cloudy day with a high of just 16°C, as well as small chances of isolated precipitation at times.
Southwesterly winds (blowing northeast) will pick up close to 20 km/h this afternoon, with potential gusts above 30 km/h.
As was the case the last two nights, the wind will calm down in the evening and there’s even a chance of a few showers.
In fact, a special weather advisory has been issued for the summit of the Okanagan Connector, where EC says 2-4 cm of snow could fall.
The overnight low in the valley is 9°C.
You can expect a similar forecast Wednesday before we return to sunshine and temperatures in the low 20s later this week.
