Today is #Edmonton-Blatchford's 166th consecutive min≤0℃ day which put October 29, 2017➞April 12, 2018 in a 2-way tie for 1st place for the longest run ever. #yegwx pic.twitter.com/V88ogYOIM3

Tonight will most likely be Edmonton's 167th consecutive day with the temperature falling below 0°, which will make for 167 straight days below freezing.
That will officially break the record set between 1974-1975 when the city went 166 days with below zero temperatures.
Since Oct 29th, when we hit 0.0°, we haven't gone 24hrs without being below zero. The closest we've come is -0.2° on Dec 15th, 2017.
OFFICIALLY THE WORST WINTER EVER. Every day since Oct. 29. 2017, the low in #yeg has been below zero. And there's no end in sight in the forecast -- but there is more snow in the forecast. Yep. Of course there is. #yegwx https://t.co/XkfoC9kk4o

Best of all? The dubious record will be set on Friday the 13th.
