VIDEO WEATHER: Nothing but blue sky in Kelowna this weekend

While we saw some cooler weather this week in Kelowna with lots of wind and a smidge of rain, we’re anticipated to see some more seasonal temperatures over the next few days.

Environment Canada is predicting a high of 23°C this afternoon with a mix of sun and cloud that should clear around noon.

Anticipate some hazy conditions as smoke from nearby fires may linger a bit, overnight a clear sky and a low of 11°C.

On Saturday, warming up a bit more, getting up to a high of 27°C with nothing but blue sky and sun, into the evening things cool off again as we drop to about 14°C.

Sunday, we should be hitting that 30°C mark with again a bright sunny sky. Overnight we’ll see a low of 16°C.

As for events, Rock The Lake kicks off this afternoon down at Prospera Place.

The three-day annual classic rock festival is sure to get you moving and grooving all weekend long with goldies like A flock of Seagulls, The Tea Party, Nazareth, Trooper, Bif Naked and so many more hitting the stage.

Not your style of music? No worries. We got NestFest at Red Bird Brewing from Thursday to Saturday.

The inaugural festival will feature a number of alternative artists from near and far like Donovan Woods, Bend Sinister, Case of the Mondays and so many more on their brand new outdoor stage.

On Sunday, the Lake Country Garlic Festival kicks off 10 am - 4 pm at the Oyama Community Club.

It’s the one time where you can celebrate all things garlic, with local farmers, artisans, foods, and flavours of the Okanagan Valley.

All-weather conditions are taken from the Environment Canada website and have the potential to change over the course of the weekend.
