Hello August Long Weekend!
A northwesterly flow will attempt to bring a few sprinkles to our valley Friday morning.
Sunny breaks are possible this afternoon, however that may also encourage the development of more showers with the risk of a thundershower Friday afternoon or evening.
Daytime highs will stay in the mid to upper 20’s today.
Another warm up will start Saturday through the rest of the long weekend with temperatures back up near 30°C by Sunday when high pressure rebuilds over the region.
Currently, it's 16°C under cloudy with 7 km/h winds. The UV index is forecast to reach 6 today meaning sunscreen is once again a must despite the cloudy skies.
A special air quality statement remains in effect for the area due to wildfire smoke in the region.
