Happy New Year! We will wake up to fresh snow on Friday.
Milder air will push in this weekend and that will bring freezing levels above the valley floor. Snow levels will be above 1000 metres by Saturday afternoon.
Expect a mix of rain and snow falling intermittently this weekend when a flow from the Pacific will usher in one wave of moisture after another.
Daytime highs will be near or a few degrees above freezing over the next few days.
