These wonderfully crafted ciders are created with delicious Okanagan-grown fruits. The flavourful ciders are authentic to our region and the perfect cold drink to sip on whether at a tasting room, on the beach or at a get-together.

In third place is BC Tree Fruits Cider, the makers behind the Broken Ladder Ciders. They are 100% made from fruit handpicked by the businesses growers and crushed in their own mill to create pure and refreshing drinks. With their award-winning Master Cider Maker, the superior ciders combine apples, peaches, pears and more with hops to develop timeless and unique brews. The craft ciders contain no added water, refined sugars or artificial flavours and are naturally gluten-free.
Currently on tap at the tasting room is Broken Ladder Plum Basil, Rose, Apples and Apples & Hops as well as some special limited keg released that are only available at the tasting room in limited quantities.
Visit the BC Tree Fruits Cider tasting room, located at 880 Vaughan Ave Kelowna, BC V1Y 7E4, from Wednesday to Saturday between 12 pm and 5 pm to get a taste of the delicious ciders and learn more about the process.
Truck 59 Ciderhouse has claimed second place this year after a booming 4 years in business. The variety of handcrafted ciders are created to appeal to all taste buds with flavour notes such as apple, pear, raspberry, hibiscus, raspberry and more ranging from sweet to sour which are available in 4-pack cans or 500mL bottles.
With beautiful valley and lake views, amazing cider, BBQ and a hippy, fun and family-friendly vibe, the Truck 59 Ciderhouse tasting room is an epic place to visit and is often considered the perfect hangout spot. The Smokeshow BBQ truck lives at the West Kelowna establishment and consistently serves up delicious meals, even for vegetarians.

Our first-place winner this year is organic cidery, Upside Cider. Boasting a lounge, rooftop patio, delicious drinks and food, the Kelowna cidery isn’t one to miss. Taste the latest cider creations on a flight, other local beers, wine or kombucha, wood-fired pizza and charcuterie made with local artisan cheeses and organic meats.
Isaac is Upside Cider’s co-founder and farmer that has been doing so organically since birth. His family aimed to connect organic growers to consumers and thus Cawston Cold Storage was born and now is the main supplier for the cidery alongside local growers, making it simple, pure, organic and that much more special.
The cidery’s production facility and tasting room are on its own Certified Organic Farm where they are committed to environmental sustainability and biodiversity. With a sustainable action plan in place, the business is well on its way to making a difference environmentally.
