After being open for only three years, woman-led Luar Body Piercing has taken the gold medal as the Best Piercing Shop in Kelowna.

Shop owner Sea Dawne has had a passion for piercing for as long as she can remember. While her business has only been open for three years, Dawne has been piercing for over ten years and thus has a wealth of knowledge and experience in her field.

“Body piercing was always an outlet for me. It made me feel confident, powerful and was something I could control. Sometimes it represented an important time in my life. I started Luar in hopes of giving this feeling to other people. The freedom,” says Dawne.
