If you head left to the Upper Falls, the trail follows high above the Little Qualicum River. This magical walking path leads you to a viewpoint of the canyon and towards the Upper Falls. From there, the trail crosses the river above the Upper Falls to the final viewpoint. As the Little Qualicum River comes towering down the rocky canyon, it creates two beautiful cascading waterfalls at the Upper Falls.
The trail continues to meander through the lush green forest, shaded by large Douglas Fir and lined with moss and ferns. Soon the Lower Falls will be in sight. After enjoying the views, carry on along the trail as it crosses another bridge over the river to get back to the parking area.
Depending on the time of year, you may even find a perfect swimming hole (when waters are low).
