The Rum Runners Biography
The Rum Runners started around 1996 as a Jerry Garcia Band (JGB) tribute band and played for a few years in the L.A. area. The members back then were Jim Shank, Nick Phoenix, Larry Ryan and Joel Saslow.
After about a 12 year hiatus, the new Rum Runners are still primarily a JGB tribute with Jim Shank (guitar and vocals), Jim Beaudet (bass), Brad Rhodus (drums), Lisa Blue (vocals), and Ed Lyon (keys and vocals).
Description
Jammin' live music with a focus on Jerry Garcia Band -style improvisations on roots rock, blues, soul, R&B, jazz, and classic country tunes. Crazy wild improv to blow the minds of the most seasoned jam band heads, and cool enough for folks who are just out to have a partyin' good time.
