Mick Cretney Live @ The Minstrel Cafe
" Latin and contemporary guitar vocalist"
During his University days in Alberta, Mick played in various bands as a bass player. He dabbled in vocals, harmonica, flute and guitar. After graduating university Mick decided to follow his dreams and play music full time.
He was drawn to the Blues and soon began playing and singing Rhythm and Blues everywhere. Travelling and working with some amazing musicians throughout Western Canada, USA and Mexico, and other countries. Mick has also travelled with the Princess Cruise Lines providing top notch entertainment.
His travels brought him flavors of music from all over the world. He has made five originals CD’s with a variety of musicians ranging from Trinidadian; steel drummers, Cuban; percussionist and R&B; piano and saxophonists. Presently you can find Mick playing with the Journeymen on the Party cruises in Kelowna during the summer months and local bars and private events around the sunny Okanagan. You will also find him playing at his favorite locale in the winter months in Playa Del Carmen, and other hotspots in Mexico.
