2017-05-18 16:00:00 2017-05-18 16:00:00 America/Vancouver HERoes Thebookofmolly.com, a lifestyle blog based in Kelowna, and the Inspired Word Café are joining forces for a night of sharing stories and poetry revolving around the theme “Be Bold for Change.” Entry is $5 with a bag of non-perishable food items and/or a female care package including items such as pads, tampons and liners. All proceeds will be hand delivered to the Kelowna Women’s Shelter and the Kelowna Gospel Mission. The night will feature six poets writing new, powerful poems for the event. Gillianne Richard, a well-known woman in Kelowna and a CBC journalist will be the key-note speaker. After Richards finishes her talk, there will be a Q&A panel about feminism, equal rights, what Kelowna can do to become more inclusive, etc. So, bring your questions and we’ll answer!
