International FASD Awareness Day - Free Fun for Families!
A free & fun celebration for families and individuals to raise awarness about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and highlights community resources and supports.
Event will include BBQ & Cake by Donation, Bounce House & Toys, and Face Painting & Balloon Animals.
Proclaimation by City Councilor Ryan Donn & MC'd by Susan Knight of Q103.1
According to the Public Health Agency of Canada, “it is estimated that FASD affects approximately one percent of the Canadian population.”
Event co-hosted by ARC Programs, The John Howard Society, The Bridge Youth & Family Services Society, Spec-Team Assessment Society, Ministry of Children & Famiy Development, Interior Health, and School District 23.
