2017-09-23 20:00:00 2017-09-23 22:30:00 America/Vancouver Symphonic Rock Evolution Concert Symphonic Rock Evolution is a 23-piece symphonic rock band that is unique to Canada. Ken Hartfield, composer, arranger & producer has been compared to David Foster by many professional musicians for his distinctive arranging style. Ken's musical arrangements give audiences an opportunity to hear new and innovative versions of rock classics that have never been heard before. The musical arrangements are taken to a new level and produce an incredibly powerful sound that has become the signature of the band. Ken Hartfield’s professional musical career has spanned over 2 decades and has crossed international borders. Symphonic Rock Evolution has performed throughout BC to sold-out concerts for the past three years. The best way to fully appreciate this amazing band is by attending a Symphonic Rock Evolution concert. You will hear a transcending version of rock classics that you have never heard before. This is definitely not a tribute band … the songs you hear performed by Symphonic Rock Evolution are all new arrangements that take rock classics to a whole new dimension. Watch and listen to new arrangements of songs by Simon & Garfunkel (Sound of Silence), Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Gerry Rafferty, Santana and many more. This year’s concert will feature a new, original song written by Ken Hartfield in 1969 entitled “The Light”. This song is currently gaining thousands of views on YouTube internationally. Ken’s arrangement of this song is inspiring and very reminiscent of Pink Floyd’s iconic style. See Symphonic Rock Evolution in concert on September 23, 8:00 pm at the Kelowna Community Theatre. Tickets available at www.sreband.com or the Kelowna Visitor Centre, 544 Harvey Ave., 250-861-1515. Kelowna Community Theatre 1375 Water Street events@kelownanow.com
